SRF Essential Matwork – London

This course will give you your nationally recognised qualification Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates accredited by YMCA awards. It covers;

Basic class content – to include warm up, cool down and stretch

Principles and fundamentals

Pre – Pilates

34 original exercises

Progression and modification

Anatomy and physiology, Health and Safety

Postural analysis, core stability and movement analysis

Overview of special populations in exercise

Teaching and communication skills

It is assessed through YMCA awards assessment procedure, which includes the following elements

One Hour Multiple choice paper – anatomy and physiology for health and exercise

One Hour Multiple choice paper – principles of exercise, fitness and health

Worksheets on

Health, safety and welfare in the fitness environment

Know how to support clients who take part Exercise and Physical activity

Fundamentals of Pilates

The Original Exercises and Modifications and Adaptations

A progressive programme, and viva

A detailed lesson plan for a matwork group class – practical teaching assessment

This course can be studied either weekend only or school run friendly

SRF weekday course is 22 sessions 10 – 1.30 on Thursday term time, plus 3 Sundays for special lectures. Followed by YMCA awards Assessment

Cost: £2000 in advance (includes a free FiP course when paid in advance)

Installment £500 deposit and 8 monthly payment of £215
